Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated is leading the charge with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote, a non-profit, non-partisan organization on a mission to change the culture around voting and ensure that our communities are ready and registered to vote in 2020. This partnership is important because the voter registration tools When We All Vote provides, will allow us to track and measure our national impact.
We are calling on our members across the nation to become Voting Squad Captains, participate in the Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated Voter Registration Challenge, and get excited about our 2020 partnership with When We All Vote.
KAPPA ALPHA PSI, FRATERNITY, INCORPORATED VOTER REGISTRATION CHALLENGE
We will be launching a voter registration challenge among all Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated regions to garner participation. In order to participate, Members of your region will need to be trained as When We All Vote (WWAV) Voting Squad Captains and conduct voter registration efforts through Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated ’s voter registration portal.
THE SHARED VOTER REGISTRATION GOAL: As an official When We All Vote partner, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated is committing to getting 2,000 new voters registered and ready to vote. Fraternity members will all work toward that goal together. We will announce the results of the Voter Registration Goal after the November 3, 2020 election.
THE REGION-WIDE CHALLENGE: We will launch an internal challenge amongst all regions, to see who can activate the most Voting Squad Captains, and who can host the most voter registration events! Remember, Voting Squad Captains will play a big role in driving towards our shared goal. In order to be counted, each member must attend one of the below trainings.
STEP ONE: Invite Members to Attend ONE When We All Vote Training
We have set up TWO (2) training sessions with When We All Vote to share the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated specific resources to measure our impact. Members will only need to attend ONE (1) Webinar.
What: An essential training where When We All Vote will provide the resources, structure, and guidance needed to measure our national impact and participate in the region challenge.
Who Should Join:
Chapter Social Action Chairs/Committees and Regional Representatives or Designees
Any Member who is going to be involved directly in registering voters
Current WWAV Voting Squad Captains that do not have access to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated’s voter registration resources

STEP TWO: Participate in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated Voter Registration Challenge
Together, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and When We All Vote, will work to register thousands of people around the country and measure the impact of Kappa Alpha Psi’s work nationally.
Voter Registration Resources: As a partner of When We All Vote, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated receives additional voter registration resources and information. ONLY by using these resources, your efforts will quantify the voter registration impact your organization can make for the 2020 voter registration challenge.
STEP THREE: Register!
We will announce the results of the Voter Registration Goal after the November 3, 2020 election.
