Alpha Kappa chapter donated canned goods and non-perishable food items to the on-campus pantry on the campus of North Carolina Central University for students to have access to meals and snacks. The Durham (NC) Alumni Chapter helped out too. “Service is in our DNA — and today we strengthened our commitment to uplifting our campus community. We will continue to strive to make sure our campus and students fight food insecurity.”

Theta Omicron was honored to support the Kappas of Chapel Hill at their annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive at Hargraves Community Center in service of families in need this season.

Nu Omicron brothers had their service event “Kappa Klean”, which brothers went throughout the Oak, Pine, Courtyard, and North residence halls to collect and dispose of trash for students. The brothers collected a total of 153 pieces of trash and also assisted residents by helping them carry groceries into their homes.

Omicron Sigma visited Winston-Salem (NC)Alumni’s Brother Fred Bazemore, director of the nonprofit Experiment in Self Reliance, to drop off canned goods they have been collecting on campus and contributing themselves over for the past month. These items are crucial in helping fight food insecurity in Winston Salem.

Charlotte (NC) Guide Right program came together for a Community Service Project, teaming up with 92.7FM Sports Radio WFNZ. Greensboro (NC) hosted along with the Burlington (NC) and Winston-Salem (NC) chapters a day party on Black Friday. Giving the Triad a good time during this holiday season. In addition, Greensboro (NC) Alumni held a Nupesgiving Family and Friends Holiday event. They collected can goods and other non-perishable items for The Aggie Source food bank located on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

Greenville (NC) brothers showed up in a major way this Thanksgiving season! With over $300 raised, we exceeded our goal and proudly donated 30 turkeys to Pitt County Schools to support families in our community.

Raleigh (NC) had a busy Thanksgiving holiday giving back to the community in multiple ways as well as representing our fraternity proudly in the Raleigh Christmas Parade. The tradition continued with blessing families in need in Wake County with Thanksgiving meals. This year even more important with the government shutdown. The tradition also continued with the “My Brother’s Kloset” event which is an initiative joining forces with the brothers and their families with the goal of providing the less fortunate Raleigh citizens with clothing and other valuable items.
