Cary (NC) Alumni Chapter Updates

Cary Alumni – Social Events

The Brothers of Cary (NC) Alumni in conjunction with the Western Wake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., held their annual Crimson & Crème event on February 25, 2023, and brought the city out! A sell out event with 400 tickets sold, saw brothers from across the MEP come together to bond and fellowship for a great cause as a portion of the proceeds will go to the Kappa Foundation of Cary (KFOC) to support philanthropic programs in the Cary Kappa Care initiative, youth development, and college scholarships. The dance floor stayed flooded with music provided by Brother Daniel Dunston (DJ Thoro) of Wake Forest Rolesville (NC) Alumni.

Kappa Foundation Cary (KFOC)- Funding Prospectus

The Kappa Found of Cary has worked tirelessly throughout the year to increase the foundations visibility within the community and develop a tool to generate significant corporate sponsorships and grants.  Through this focus, the KFOC Funding Prospectus was born.

A dynamic resource for the chapter and KFOC, the foundation distributed the funding prospectus to community partners at the start 2023 and saw immediate results by being awarded funds as a recipient of the Walmart Community Grant Program. In doing so, Walmart also became the first corporate sponsor under the “KFOC 1911 Sponsorship Package”.
