Gastonia/Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter’s memorable weekend.

The Brothers of the Gastonia/Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated had a memorable and impactful weekend from May 15th-17th that kicked off honoring Brother Marvin Caldwell Sr. (Gamma Mu 76) presenting his 50th year anniversary blazer prior to a chapter meeting, partnering with Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC to help bring awareness to the importance of men’s mental health while also highlighting financial, physical, and total wellness during mental health awareness month in the month of May.

The conversations were real, the support was genuine, and the resources shared were impactful. Men undoubtedly left empowered with practical tools, resources and encouragement not only for themselves, but to help others within their families, communities, and circles.

The eventful weekend culminated with a powerful worship experience at Tabernacle Baptist Church, further fellowship and delicious food afterwards at a local black owned establishment in downtown Gastonia, NC.
